A North Country judge has been arrested after leading cops on a chase while driving drunk and heaving her young triplets in the car with her.
State Police in St. Lawrence County say Town of Madrid Justice Anya Tendler rear-ended a pickup truck in Canton and then fled the scene.
Troopers tried to pull her over, but she kept driving west towards Potsdam and only came to a stop after a mechanical issue occurred with her car.
Police quickly arrested Tendler and discovered her five year old triplets in the car with her while she was alledgedly driving drunk.
Tendler refused a breathalyzer tests at the scene and she's now facing a slew of charges, including three counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Fleeing a Police Officer and several other traffic citations.
Tendler was released under supervision of probation and she's due back in court next week.
Tendler was elected as Madrid Town Justice in 2012.
